The Discount on Discount (DoD) feature in STAAH MAX allows properties to apply an additional discount on top of an existing Smart Pricing discount.
Key Highlights of Stackable Discounts
Stackable Discounts apply only to:
Device-based discounts (e.g., mobile bookings)
Region-based discounts (e.g., bookings from specific countries)
DoD does not apply to:
Pay Now discounts
Other Smart Pricing types
If both Device and Region discounts are enabled, only the higher discount is applied—not both.
Use Case Example of Stackable Discounts
A property wants to offer an additional discount to:
Guests booking via mobile devices
Guests from a specific country
This discount stacks on top of the existing Smart Pricing discount.
How to Enable Discount on Discount
Log in to the STAAH MAX extranet.
Go to Smart Pricing Setup.
For supported discount types (Device or Region), locate the Discount on Discount flag.
Tick the checkbox to enable the feature.
Select either Device or Region.
Enter the discount value.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Once enabled, eligible guests will automatically receive the additional discount during booking.
