Matrix Revenue Control Features

Matrix Revenue Control is a dynamic rate management tool in STAAH Max that helps properties optimize pricing strategies, automate rate updates, and improve profitability

This supports both manual and formula-based rate configurations across inventory tiers and seasons.

Access & Navigation

  • Navigate Matrix – Revenue Control from the Revenue Management tab in he megamenu


Key Features of Matrix – Revenue Control

  • Master Rates

    • Set one or multiple master rooms.

    • Use formulas to derive child rates from master rates.

    • Supports nested master setups (sub-masters).

  • Tier-Based Pricing

    • Inventory blocks are assigned tier names (e.g., T1, T2).

    • Rates are calculated per tier using multipliers.

    • Tier names can be customized.

    Special Tier

    • A rate type with no inventory threshold.

    • Applies fixed rates regardless of occupancy.

    • Can be derived from existing tiers.

  • Date Ranges (Seasons)

    • Formerly called “Seasons”.

    • Fully customizable with options to edit, deactivate, or delete.

    • Preset seasons can be hidden or renamed.

  • Formula Module

    • Add multipliers to calculate rates per tier and season.

    • Supports nested master logic.

    • Includes a Rate Grid to preview configured rates.


Rate Management Methods

  • Overwrite from Rate Grid

    • Select a rate from the grid to apply.

    • Changes mode to Manual for selected dates.

  • Replace Tier Bands

    • Swap the rate with another tier (e.g., Special Tier).

    • Mode remains Dynamic, but replaced tiers are marked with ‘R’ and highlighted in pink.

    • Reset options available via mode change or bulk update.


Reporting & Logs

  • Set Up module: Activity logs available in the back-end. Can be retrieved by the technical team

  • Date Ranges Module: Activity logs available in the back-end. Can be retrieved by the technical team

  • Master Rates Module: Activity logs available in the back-end. Can be retrieved by the technical team

  • Formula Module: Activity logs available in the back-end. Can be retrieved by the technical team

  • Mode: Logs via Rules

  • Rate changes: Logs via Rules and Summary
