Drip Feed Availability Feature

Drip Feed Availability feature allows you to set a restriction of maximum rooms available for a specific room type or date range.

Updated this week

Drip Feed empowers you to strategically manage room release and preserve rate integrity across OTAs, encouraging balanced distribution and potentially boosting conversion and revenue.

Apply Drip Feed

You can watch the following video, STAAH Max V2 - What is Drip Feed Availability and how does it Function, and follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Availability & Rates in your MAX extranet.

  2. Select the channel where you’d like to apply the restriction.

  3. Open the Rules menu to access the Drip Feed options. Below is the screenshot for your reference.

  4. Choose one of the following: Below is the screenshot for your reference.

    • Off – Disables Drip Feed (default, all rooms are visible).

    • Closed – Sends 0 inventory to the selected channel for chosen dates (without reducing overall availability).

    • Allotment – Sets a booking counter (e.g., restricts to 3 bookings). Each booking reduces the allotment number.

    • Number – Caps the number of rooms visible based on availability. (e.g., availability is 5, cap at 3). When inventory drops below this cap, availability reflects reality.

Key Notes

  • Base Rate Overrides: If you configure Drip Feed at the base rate level, that setting applies to all channels—unless overridden at the channel level.

  • OTA Compatibility: OTAs don’t support Drip Feed. Instead, STAAH handles inventory control internally and sends updated availability to OTAs based on your configuration.

  • Visibility Requirements: Drip Feed options only appear for parent room types. If a channel isn’t mapped to a parent room, the Drip Feed setting won’t be available.
