The Pay Later flag in STAAH MAX SwiftBook gives properties control over how guests complete their bookings. Depending on your payment strategy, you can allow guests to either pay immediately or defer payment until arrival.

Note: We identified a flaw in the setup logic in the current Max extranet. To avoid confusion, we will not change the logic. Despite showing a 100% deposit requirement, we will still treat it as ‘Hotel Collect’ unless ‘Prepay Only’ is enabled. This setup will offer guests the choice to ‘Pay Now’ or ‘Pay Later’.
On the booking engine:
• Customer will see both PAY NOW and PAY LATER options.
• Pay now > Divert to PG for payment collection.
• Pay later > Credit card details will be collected.

Regardless of the deposit setup, if the credit card flag is turned off, it will be considered a direct confirmation booking. This means no payment or credit card details will be collected at the time of booking.

1. By default, prepayment is only with full payment collected at the time of booking.
2. The deposit feature is now supported at the package level. There are 3 options. Property can set a deposit amount (%), a fixed $ value, or 1 night rate to be collected at the time of booking.
3. If the package does not require prepayment, the ‘no credit card’ flag is now supported at the package level.
