The housekeeping module in STAAH MAX helps vacation rental properties manage room cleaning status efficiently.

This Feature is available to properties subscribed to MAX VR.

  • The module displays a list of rooms based on checkout status and guest activity.

  • Cleaning status can be updated manually by staff or automatically via Stayview when a guest checks out.

  • Each room is tagged with a cleaning status and guest status, helping staff prioritise tasks.

  • Cleaners can be assigned specific roles with restricted access to only the housekeeping module.

  • The system supports real-time updates, ensuring all staff have the latest information.


Steps to access the housekeeping module

  1. Go to Setup > Housekeeping in the extranet.

  2. View rooms booked and scheduled to check out today.

  3. Check guest name and status (requires access key).

  4. Update cleaning status for each room.

  5. Search bookings by guest name, room, or cleaning status.


Cleaning status options

  • Occupied – Guest has not checked out; room not ready to clean.

  • On change – Guest has checked out; room ready to clean.

  • On queue – Room is queued for cleaning.

  • Cleaning in progress – Room is currently being cleaned.

  • Ready – Room is clean and ready for the next guest.

  • Out of order – Room is unavailable for use.


Room and guest status

  • In-house – Guest is currently staying.

  • Checked-out – Guest has left; cleaning can begin.

  • New arrival – Guest is arriving today.

  • Vacant – No bookings for today.


Additional features

  • Room key info – Cleaners can view key details.

  • Cleaner user role – You can create users with access only to the housekeeping module.

  • Stayview integration – Checkout updates guest's status automatically.
