This gives the property a visual, date-specific reference point so they can proactively review

Written by Rilind Maben

Event Calendar Overview: feature allows a property to mark and track special events, high-demand dates, or notable occurrences directly on their rate calendar.

Key features:

· Mark events, highlight specific dates (or date ranges) with an event — e.g., local festivals, conferences, concerts, holidays, or property-specific happenings (renovation, maintenance, in-house promotions).

· Visual Awareness, as it acts as a prompt/reminder for the revenue or front office team to review that date and check current rates, restrictions and inventory allocation

1. Event Calendar Setup

Step 1 – Navigate to Event calendar

· Login to extranet > Settings > Tools > Event Calendar

Step 2 – Understanding the Event Calendar module

· The current year displayed, regardless of the current month – this provides an overview of all events added within the year

· At a glance calendar will highlight Available days (green), Unavailable days (red) and Events assigned to a date/date

Step 3 – Create Event

· Simply select the date to apply Event

· Multiple events supported, this offers more insight into what is happening

· Option to set a date as a public holiday, this helps differentiate Events to Public holidays

2. Display of events – how Events are displayed when added

· Navigate to Availability & Rates

· Within the Availability & Rates calendar an icon is visible above the date to highlight dates that have an event assigned

· Simply hover over icon to view events

· If the date has been set as a public holiday the icon is presented as red
