Written by Rilind Maben

1. Disable bedding overview

· Disable bedding (hiding bed option) feature allows you to control whether bedding configuration choices are displayed to guests during the booking process on the Booking Engine. When enabled, bedding information is hidden both as a selectable option and as part of the room type setup details, allowing for a simpler, while properties have greater flexibility over how bedding arrangements are managed and communicated.

· Key Features:

· Standardised bedding, if a room type only ever comes with one bedding configuration, displaying a bedding selection can be unnecessary and potentially confusing for guests

· Simplified booking process, reducing the number of choices a guest needs to make can streamline the journey and minimise decision fatigue, leading to faster, more confident bookings

· Avoid overpromising - if bedding arrangements can vary or aren't guaranteed (e.g. due to housekeeping or room turnover), hiding the option prevents guest expectations from being set incorrectly

2. Step-by-step: Disable bedding selection on Booking Engine

· Step 1 - Navigate to Room types

· Login to extranet > Property Settings > Room Types

· Step 2 - Room type selection

· Simply click the room type you wish to disable bedding

· Step 3 – Apply setting

· Scroll down to ‘Disable Bedding configuration on Booking Engine’ flag (below description)

· Click checkbox to enable flag/activate setting

· It is recommended to add the bed type in the description, so the booker knows the bed that is available (if not identifiable in the room name)

· SAVE

3. Booking Engine display

· Display of bedding is automatically updated on the Booking engine

· Room information will exclude the bedding configuration

· Guest details will no longer show bedding as an option for the guest to select
