1. Rate code Overview
· A unique numerical identifier that acts as the foundation for all rooms, rates and mapping in the channel manager.
· Mandatory throughout ensures that information and booking data is stored correctly.
· These Rate Codes are also required for PMS integrations – mapping and booking delivery.
· All packages require a Rate code
· Channel mapping must have Rate code assigned
· Room types cannot be created without a rate code
· Bookings received into Channel manager will have rate code assigned (based on setup in Booking engine and Channel mapping)
2. Step-by-Step: Creating a Rate Code
· Step 1 - Navigate to Rate Codes
Login to extranet > Property settings > Rate code
Click ‘Add Rate Code’ for xxxxx or ‘Add Channel Rate code’ for xxxx
Step 2 - Rate code information
Rate code
Rate code Name
Rate code Description (optional), is passed to channels that support description from channel manager
Parent rate code (applicable to Channel rate code only)
SAVE
3. Edit rate codes
· Step 1 - Navigate to Rate Codes
Login to extranet > Property settings > Rate code
Click ‘Edit’ within the ‘Actions’ menu, move to the field you want to edit
SAVE
4. Delete rate codes
· To ensure there is no impact to setup within the channel manager, and integrated connections this option is currently not available. Please contact your designated support team for further information
